Welcome!
If you are new to church or are considering visiting us for the first time, you are very welcome.
We understand it can be intimidating to visit a church for the first time or to visit a new church so below is some information to help with any questions you might have. If you can’t find what you are looking for then please do get in contact either by calling 01483561603 or email parish.office@emmanuelchurch.co.uk
If you are interested in seeing what Emmanuel is like then we suggest viewing one of our online services, visiting one of our Sunday services or dropping into the café Monday to Thursday (term time) to sample one of Lynne’s delicious cakes!
Where?
Emmanuel church is located at the junction of Shepherd’s Lane and Worplesdon Road. If you are walking there are entrances on both the Worplesdon Road and Shepherd’s Lane side. During the week the best entrance is normally the Parish Centre which can be found by following the signs down the back of the church.
Can I park?
Yes, we have a car park. The entrance is on Shepherd’s Lane. If you drive away from Worplesdon Road onto Shepherd’s Lane then you will pass the church on your left and the entrance to the car park down the road, past the vicarage, on your left. On a Sunday the car park does fill up very quickly. However it is possible to park on the surrounding residential streets. We try to be respectful of our neighbours by encouraging people to spread out their parking, leave driveways with plenty of room or to consider walking!
How will I know where to go?
On a Sunday there are members of our welcome team on the outside doors and inside our main worship space to explain where everything is. They will be wearing welcome badges and can answer any questions you might have.
Is the building accessible?
Yes, our ground floor is all on one level and our welcome team will be happy to make sure you have anything you need. Access to the first floor in the parish centre is by lift. We also have accessible toilets on both levels.
