Kids Alive is an after-school programme for everyone aged 0 to 10 and their parents, guardians and childminders. Each term has a different theme. The up-front programme involves mini-games, lively songs, a bible story, an opportunity for the children to pray and lots of puppets! Arrive any time from 3:00 for juice, biscuits and craft and we will finish by 4:15pm. Older children are invited to help with the tech team. Come along and check us out any Tuesday during term time. Monday – Session 1: 9:30-10:40am / Session 2: 11:00-12:10pm | Thursday 1:00 – 2:30pm
Teddies is a term-time play group for all babies and pre-school aged children and their parents, guardians, childminders, grandparents, godparents… The aim is to be a welcoming community space for children to meet and play together and for adults to build relationships, share experience and chat together. There is a small cost to attend (one adult and one child = £1 with 20p for every additional child.) We offer loads of toys, suitable for all the ages, a baby space, different craft each week, refreshments for adults and children. There is also a story and song time for everyone.
Our Monday morning Teddies session has become so popular that we are trialling splitting into two shorter sessions so that we can welcome everyone to comes to Teddies. Each session will have the same craft, story and songs.
Please choose which session you would like to attend:
Teddies Monday Morning Session 1: 9:30-10:40
Teddies Monday Morning Session 2: 11:00-12:10

Creche, Minis' Church & Kids Church
Every Sunday, every term
We offer a variety of children’s programmes on a Sunday morning at Emmanuel. All of the groups aim to welcome every child and create a safe, positive environment for each child to discover Jesus for themselves. Creche is open to 0-3 year-old’s and offers a variety of toys and play space. There is also story time, songs and colouring. Minis’ Church is open to 3-5 year-old’s and always starts with a play time so all the children can get comfortable. This is followed by sharing time, a story, craft activities and a prayer opportunity. Kids Church is open to school years 1-5. Each week there is a game followed by the story. The children then rotate around activities designed to help them engage with the passage. These activities might be sharing time, prayer spaces or craft. We work with each family to help their children feel comfortable and welcome as quickly a possible so if you have any questions you can ask our team members. All groups offer biscuits and juice.
May half term 2019
Last years theme was Jungle Encounter! We explored people who have encountered the Living God! We sang songs, played games, got busy with crafts and threw lots of pies at leaders. It was high energy and lots of fun! If you are interested in coming to a future club or want to know more, please contact our Children and Families worker, Melissa Foat.
Open the book
We have a great link with our local infant school and go in every other week to share a bible story. This normally involves a lot of costumes and interaction. Open the Book is linked to The Bible Society and is a great resource. For more information visit the Open the Book website.
