Thom Jee

Welcome from Thom, Vicar

We’re a church for our community and you are invited, whatever your story.  Church is a family for every day of the week, doing life together, supporting each other and growing in Christ-centred faith.

You matter to God. You matter to us.

Our building is a hub of activity all week, in our café, fair trade shop, and Little Stars preschool, to groups for children, teenagers, students, and adults of all ages. Whether you’ve never entered a church before or have lots of church experience, there are many different ways you can get involved with the community here.

We’d love to encourage you to come and attend one of our services on Sunday, to hear more about the God who made you, loves you, and even came to earth so that you could know him.  Please do drop in you’ll find a warm welcome, and we’d love to get to know you better.

Vision: Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known

Values

Family:

We are a nurturing church family of all ages and backgrounds, with a warm welcome for everyone.

Word and Spirit:

We are followers of Jesus, rooted in the Bible and empowered by the Spirit.

Making Disciples:

We believe God is calling us to serve our community, share our faith, and make a difference in the world.

We look forward to meeting you!

There is always a warm welcome for anyone new or visiting Emmanuel.

Our Sunday welcome team are here to guide you, with refreshments after each service
and a welcome space to come, ask questions or just say ‘hi’.

We would love to get to know you.

See you soon!

Emmanuel Church is located at the junction of Shepherd’s Lane and Worplesdon Road. There are two entrances, one on the Worplesdon Road and the other Shepherd’s Lane.

During the week the best entrance is usually the Parish Centre which can be found by following the signs.

The car park is accessed from Shepherd’s Lane or you can park on nearby residential roads.

There are designated parking spaces for those with a disability badge. Our buildings are fully accessible at ground level – with a curb up from the car park.  The first floor of the Parish Centre can be accessed via a lift and there are accessible toilets.
