Welcome to Emmanuel Church

Welcome Message from Emmanuel

Welcome to Emmanuel Church’s website.  Emmanuel is an established evangelical Church of England church in Stoughton, Guildford, with strong links into the local community. The congregation is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. We have a number of people from different denominations who worship with us as part of one church family.

Usually the church and parish centre are a hive of activity. Emmanuel is a church for the whole week and not just on Sundays. We have a Cafe and Fairtrade Shop and we also run our own Little Stars Pre-School.  The community uses our buildings and the church also puts on activities and groups for all ages.  Many of these activities are gradually re-opening after all the restrictions of this present COVID crisis.  More details will appear on this website.

Emmanuel has a strong community feel and we hope that you will get a very warm welcome whether you come to a service or drop in for a coffee.

Worship and Resources

You will find details of our normal worship pattern on our Services page.  During this Covid crisis things have had to be different.  We are pleased to confirm that we are now open again for Worship in Church.

10.30am – Sunday Morning Service

6.30pm – Sunday Evening Worship

10.00am Wednesdays – Holy Communion

You will also be able to find resources for your encouragement to help you through difficult times.

A Prayer for These Times

Lord give us strength, patience and endurance during these difficult times. Increase our love for one another. Heal the sick, comfort the bereaved and give us new encouragements every day. We thank you Lord for all who work in our hospitals, surgeries, chemists and Care Homes. Protect and refresh them we pray. Bring us through this time of trial both as a community and as a church. May we find our hope in you.

We pray in Jesus name.  Amen.
