Andrew and Miriam Wingfield are in-country representatives in Tanzania. Serving with EIUK.
In 2010 Andrew and Miriam celebrated their 5 year anniversary of working in Tanzania in the Diocese of Ruaha, based in Iringa. Their work involves projects that meet the basic needs of the community they are working in. These projects use simple technology that is easy to replicate and builds the self reliance of those involved. This has included water harvesting projects and they are currently working on a project called ‘WaSH’ which is a water, sanitation and hygiene project for primary schools in neighbouring villages
Andrew grew up at Emmanuel and he and Miriam met at school in Guildford. As a church we support them through prayer and giving.
Since arriving in Tanzania, Andrew and Miriam have welcomed two sons, Benjamin born in 2007 and Samuel born at the end of 2008. Daughter Bethany joined the family in October 2011.
