Partners in Mission

Emmanuel is a church which aims to be outward-looking and we have connections with many parts of the world.

Members of the church and mission partners are scattered across the globe

  • A married couple who hope to be returning to Central Asia this year
  • Andrew and Miriam are in Tanzania
  • Paul and Phil, Christian workers in Wales
  • Aamir Shahzad works with ICAN, an organisation in Pakistan helping drug users
  • Ronny and Nicky Irene in Asuncion, Paraguay
  • Phil and Anna Evans in Skopje, Macedonia
  • John Marrow with the Church Army in the Guildford area

As a church we are deeply committed to mission, both in the UK and overseas, and actively support these societies:

  • Church Mission Society / South American Mission Society
  • Church Pastoral Aid Society
  • Tear Fund
  • The Bible Society
  • The Church’s Ministry among Jewish people
  • The Leprosy Mission
  • The Matrix Trust

Emmanuel operates a Mission Opportunities Fund to help church members experience the world of mission at first hand

We have strong links with Friends International, who have a full programme of activities and welcome events in Guildford
Surrey University students from a variety of countries are members of our church, and along with friends International we run C.A.M.E.O, a parent-and-toddler group, which provides a friendly meeting place in the Parish Centre

To find out more about C.A.M.E.O (Come And Meet Each Other) or Friends International contact Sue Handscombe by email or phone or email the Church Office on 01483 561603
