Prayer Diary 20th February

“Know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”  1 Corinthians 15:58

This week we concentrate on South America in general
and our links in Paraguay in particular: Ronnie and Nicky Irene and their children Natasha, Tamara, Daniel and baby Samuel

Monday:  It’s just over a year since the visit of the Chilean miner, Jose Henriquez and his wife Blanca

Pray for God to continue working, protecting and using their lives and the lives of each of those rescued miners

Tuesday:  Pray for the continued adaptations and integration of the previous SAMS (South American Mission Society) into CMS Latin America and for God’s ongoing work through the new structure

Wednesday:  Remember before God the beautiful continent of South America made for His glory

Pray for ‘Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done” there and for any particular project or situation you may know of such as the ‘Rubbish Dump Church’; Street Kids work; Chilean earthquake village rebuilding etc.

Thursday:  Pray for a blessing on St Andrew’s Anglican Cathedral Church in Asuncion, Paraguay

Pray for Ronnie as he develops the evening service for young people

Friday:  It’s coming towards the end of the summer holidays now in South America

Pray for the children starting a new school year at St Andrew’s Anglican School and for Nicky’s role as a teacher there and Ronnie’s input as chaplain

Saturday:  Pray for Ronnie and Nicky’s children growing up as ‘missionary kids’ – for the blessings and advantages but also the pressures and expectations this can bring

Pray that God’s plans for their English/Bolivian/Paraguayan background and heritage will be developing and ultimately fulfilled

Sunday:  Pray for encouragement for Ronnie and Nicky that they may be aware of God using them to change the lives of others
